2. actually I work as an graphic designer...
so I am a sellout, but painting is my dream, but alas still just a hobby...

They are sketched in light pencil & pencil crayon....

Then scanned and brought into painter IX software where I use the oils to build up the colors and shade.

the third one (with the textured backing) backing, is built up gesso and white paint on canvas digitally photographed then scanned and brought into the backing in photoshop with overlay effect.

its quite the process....

but I manage to stay pretty clean :)
