Drag and variety show nets $3,170 toward an Alaska vet's home

A fundraiser sponsored by some of Anchorage's most lovely drag queens and LGBT youth was held at Mad Myrna’s on Saturday night. The entertainment and auction netted over $3K+ for severely wounded Alaska veteran, Latseen Benson (my friend Diane's son), to help build him a handi-capable/handi-accessible home. It was an absolute blast. I haven't laughed so hard in ages.

If you want a good laugh, go to that link and watch the YouTube video of local radio personality and auctioneer Cary Carrigan in drag doing "I Will Survive." He was a great sport about this and brought in over $700 all by himself. :)
