My first foray out this fall.
I made a quick site for them.

http://homepage.mac.com/alfredo_tomato/contestimages.html

I'm thinking of entering one of these, maybe the first one.

Maybe not

1. I see why you like the first one
Don't ask me to pick. I really suck at that. :(

The leaves blending in with the shimmering texture of the water. Very nice. It's a unique shot.

But... I also like the others.

In the 2nd.. the varying degree of light and something I think you once called "rhythm".

I'm leaning toward the 3rd as a fave because the light degree changes with the different colored leaves. With the dominant leaf in the shadows. And I love the blue background of the sky.

The 4th... I really like the contrast.. the colors .... and again... the wonderful blue in the background.

I say enter all 4.

It's late.. I'm should probably call it a day.
:hi:

4. I have a bad habit of falling in love with an aspect of an image, then
entering it based on that. Of course many don't have the same relationship with the image and will probably miss the very thing I found intriguing.

5. Hardly a bad habit
I wish I could stay focused like that. My problem.... I'm all over the place. No consistency.

6. In the context of the DU contest it may not be
the best policy. I am showing these four, but there's another image I am still processing that stands a good chance at being my entry.

The leaf in water image is just a small part of a larger image. One part of the image is a deeper pool of water with interesting light and shadows. The image has a 3D feel to it. I am being drawn by the colors of the #4 image, but the message of finality in the #1 image has appeal.

in a few minutes I will have two new image added to the link in the first post.

8. I'm having trouble with one image not showing. The source code
looks good, but for some reason it is not showing. It could be the server.

9. I think it is working now.
Give it a try.

It is raining here. No fall pictures for me today.

2. I like number 4
the best.

But really and truthfully I like 1.

I looked all over for a good shot of leaves in the water and found nothing like that. I'm jealous. In fact I couldn't find any water that was clean. Made my outing miserable for a moment until I found the golden forest. Which I'm thinking of making my entry. I will be posting my picks tonight to get a concensus. I love fall.

3. I have been planning this leaf shot for a few weeks. I just happened to
have a perfect day, and picked the perfect time of day. It was chance, not talent.

Yeah, number 4 has a starkness about it. The more I see it, the more I like it. I have a feeling it will be between 1 and 4.

10. My favorites are a tie
between Fall in the Creek and Leaves in Pool. They are all great photos.

11. It's tough to decide. I still have a few days
to decide, or process some more images.

12. Now I'm likin' Number 5
The gradient of light and color from one side to the other. But #6 definitely has the 3D thing going. I don't know. Can't go wrong with #4.....

13. I guess I might have to make my mind someday
soon. Yeah, there's some things I like about 5. The submerged leaf is interesting. The magenta really stands out.
