At the botanical gardens (non-flower photos)
Here are some photos I took last weekend at the botanical gardens. With the fantastic photos of flowers from everyone else, I figured I'd post some non-flower photos.

The obligatory fuzzy critter. In this case a duckling. It was one of 12.

Mmm... Green brains... Well, rhubarb according to the label if I remember correctly.

Parliament of ferns.

And to round things out, a non-blossom.

2. Looks like you had a great
time at the botanical gardens. The rhubarb is interesting, I used to grow it myself, but mine certainly must have been a different variety.

Strange as it may seem, just had a conversation about fiddle-heads on Monday!

And we all like "obligatory" fuzzy critters. ;-)

3. Thanks
It was quite fun. I haven't been getting out to shoot photos lately so it was, in part, an outing to get back into the swing of things.

The sun was behind the ducklings and reflecting off the water so I couldn't get much in way of decent shots of them. Otherwise, there would have been more fuzzy critter shots.

4. I really need to visit a few botanical gardens
You've shown there is more to them than just flowers. I like that you took a different approach and the green brains look yummy. :P

5. Thanks
I do have flower shots but they pale in comparison to a lot of the flower shots posted by others, which is why I left them out. Maybe I'll eventually post some of them.

On another note, I don't know if anyone's curious about the last shot but it's the tip of a branch from a monkey puzzle tree.
