Went to see the recently-completed Hoover Dam Bypass...
...officially known as the Mike O'Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. According to Wikipedia, it is the first concrete-steel composite arch bridge built in the United States, and includes the longest concrete arch in the Western Hemisphere.

Here are a few shots:

2. The really amazing thing is...
...it came in on time and under budget! I haven't heard of any large construction project doing that in many a long year!

It's weird, when you drive over it, it isn't much, because you can't see past the concrete on the sides so it just feels like you're driving on the highway but with low walls. We did not get a chance to walk on it, but that is on my list of things to do in the near future.

3. I missed it! I forgot!
When I was in Vegas a few months ago I had excess time and took a lot of street pictures and posted some here.
I forgot about Hoover Dam and the bridge.
Or I would have made it out there.

I want to see it!
I was a Hoover Dam, took lots of pictures, was impressed out of my mind, but thought "I had seen it" and discounted going again.
I hope there will be another opportunity.

The third one is the charm for me, with the clouds, and the height, and the people for scale.
WOW
