Contemplating switching to Minolta gear and selling my Nikon

Does anyone have any idea what I could get for the following?

D70 w/kit lens 18-70 (originally $1,000 approx.)
Sigma 70-300 Macro Super II (originally $150)
Nikon 50/1.8 (originally $100)
Sigma 80-400 OS (originally $1,000).

I'm contemplating a switch to Minolta's Maxxum 7D so I can have the image stabilization in the body and operable on all lenses. I'll trade off some other features, but nothing I really use (like 1/500 flash synch, etc.).

2. I haven't decided exactly what I want for it yet. I'm still trying to get

a real number on what used ones are going for right now :).

There aren't a lot of used ones around for sale.

I know the 80-400 lens should have a good resale value, the other two lenses are nothing special as far as price goes. That 50mm 1.8 is an extremely sharp lens, but is also really low-priced new, so isn't worth much at all used.

4. Nope, they had the D100, body only, but no D70's and no

equivalent lenses.

That is a nice site though, I added it to my bookmarks :).

I normally look to keh.com for used gear.

6. Do you have old minolta lenses that you're hoping to use?

A friend of mine who had older minolta equipment decided to buy a minolta D-SLR so he could use his existing lenses and quickly found out that there were major compatibility problems (they would attach and work, but the quality was bad).

If you're buying all new equipment, of course, it shouldn't be a problem.

7. No, I plan on getting new. Like I say, the image stabilisation

that's built in on the Minoltas is what really draws me to them.

I'd love to have that feature :)

8. When I sold a lot of my old film equipment

to get the Nikon D100, I e-mailed B&H with descriptions and assessment of quality to get a quote. They gave me a non-binding estimate of what they would pay for all the equipment so I could see if it was worthwhile to trade it in. When they received the equipment they stuck by their quote.

You might go that route--trade in Nikon stuff for Minolta. With my trade-ins and a couple of rebates, I actually got the 28-200 lens for nothing. I've bought a lot of equipment from B&H. They are reputable and fair.
