I'm still narrowing down my entry for Black but here are some rejected from my short-list...

A Thousand Points of Night


Both of these I've posted previously. If it weren't for the fantastic sunset shots already submitted, the second one would still be in the running. I seriously considered the first one but it's a bit dark and I wanted something with a bit more contrast.
Whatever I end up with, I doubt it'll make the finals so I probably shouldn't worry too much about my choice.

1. Those are some mighty fine

(ahem) rejects.

I know that many of us struggled with our decisions, me for one. Took tons of photos.

Was even going to change my entry, to this:



but now I've decided against doing that. A decision is a decision.

But right now I could just SCREAM.

I'm doing this work thing today and of course I have my camera and decide to take a quick shot.

*BIG SIGH*

Could have been a contender! LOL!

3. Still undecided...

Now I'm beginning to second guess myself and I'm reconsidering the first one. Right now, I'm trying to decide between a simple one, one that's more of a tribute to the photography group than a serious contender, and possibly, the coral I previously rejected... I'll probably mull it over for a few more hours, posting some non-contest related photos in the meantime.

my own work. I post mine and if others like it fine. If they don't fine.

5. Off the top of my head comment:

You know you could easily change it out, don't you. Your original photo holds your place, and you can delete it and post the new one under it.

7. I've done it before but...

I try to swap out as little as possible. Not only would I end up endlessly second guessing myself after I enter a photo, it also throws the submission count out of whack. I try not to add to the workload of the host, even if it's just a tiny bit of extra work.

2. I like both.

I think either could more than hold their own with the "black" theme. Nothing about either says "reject" to me. :)

The reject pile I've seen so far from you and others is filled with truly awesome shots.

I like them both, but the second one I like a whole lot. I have never taken a photo like it, and none of the ones in the running are anything like it.

Now I'm reconsidering that one too... I guess I'll need another few hours to figure out which one I want to submit...
