more calendar stuff

Hi everyone, I was hoping that the first round of polls for the calendar would be up by now, but I'm having some issues. Aside from having some intermittent internet problems, the poll hosting site I've used in the past has moved to a paid system - one which is way too expensive for me to even contemplate, and I'm struggling to find another one that works equally well.

I need certain features - like handling photos well (obviously), able to set poll end, and the ability to hide results, at least until after voting, and preferably, the ability to randomize answers. Does anyone have any experience in this? Do you have any recommendations?

1. What site were you using that suddenly became pay-for site?

I have no idea of another site to recommend, but I'll happily help you search teh internets for something. But seeing the site you're not using now will give me a better idea of what to look for.

A quick look-see brought up http://www.bravenet.com/webtools/vote/. No idea if this is good enough or even close to what you're looking for, but I thought I'd at least throw it out there for you. :hi:

It was polldaddy.com, which still has free polls, but with new problematic limits.



I looked at that site, but I can't seem to find a way to make a poll :shrug: I really appreciate the help. There seem to be fewer and fewer free alternatives.

3. okay,

I think I've found a solution, but I want a collective okay, before doing it. As far as I can tell, there aren't many, if any, free poll sites that can handle what we need, so what I'm going to do is the next best option - go with the closest poll generator, which does not handle photos well at all. To compensate, I'm going to create a thread here on DU (probably in GD) with all of the images, and links to the voting. It will hopefully make the process slightly more streamlined.
