1. They're beautiful, Bama...
You're going to have your hands full when they're teenagers. (Speaking from experience as the mother of three girls, now grown -- thankfully.)

My best friend likes to tell me I'm gonna be beating boys off with a stick, and that we don't have to worry about the boy cause her daughter has that covered lol. He didn't cooperate today. This is last week.

8. You may be surprised...
I expected to have the normal quantity of teenage angst about why I'm such a fuddy duddy that I won't let my daughter date at 12 - but she's now 15 and has not yet asked to go on a date. She went to winter formal with a gaggle of girls, and to a swing dance later the same way - and danced with one boy (total) during the two dances. That boy was apparently making the rounds among the gaggle she went with.

It may be the combination of brains and beauty that has made life easier for her parents, but not necessarily for her.

5. What great kids!
Although I agree with BlueInAK... the girls look like they'll be trouble in the near future. If not them directly, the trouble will be in fending off the boys.

I love taking photos of children. I miss having a young child of my own to take photos of. When my son was growing up, I was just starting photography, so my photos of him were not very good. Plus he hated being my model.

Now I'd love to take photos of children, because they're such real people, but most of my friend's kids are grown, and they all live too far away anyway. Of course I'd feel awkward going to a playground to shoot kids. I know if some stranger was shooting photos of my kid, I'd be freaked out.

The only recent child photo I can offer up is my godson at my best friend's wedding:

Watching the wedding dancers:

Cupcake Jake

BTW, Jake also cannot stand being my model. It's just like my own son, except now I get even fewer photo ops because he lives so far away. :(

6. Thx! He's a cutie!
Kids can be such a blast to photograph (or a major pita lol), but I don't think any of them have much patience for us lol!

My girls are enough trouble now without throwing boys into the mix lol. We joke about just locking them up in a convent in a couple of years lol.

7. Keep up th yearly tithes to the local parish.
Then the convent--ahem--all-girl's Catholic boarding school will be cheap. ;)
