Buen Provecho!
I took this recently while waiting to be seated at a lovely old restaurant in Madrid.

We had quite a leisurely lunch, and were among the last ones to leave-at four o'clock!

1. Looks like a movie location,
The chef in the door, the patron, the arch half shaped like an eye.

The decor, the candles, the stack of plates---it is a second to your photo of the window of the shop that sells the instruments.

Really really fine catch, Trusty Elf, and I'm delighted you got to have a laid back lunch there.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

2. Thanks, Mira!
It is said to be one of the oldest restaurants in Madrid, and used to be a favorite of Hemmingway's apparently. It's quite popular with the tourists now. It has gotten some mixed reviews on the internet, but the food and wine we had were excellent, and the place itself is very charming.

Are you down in the Keys now?

Grüße! :hi:

4. I confess...
it was a poor innocent little animal-roast lamb, done to perfection, with delicious grilled vegetables and an excellent red wine.

A fantastic meal, but not guilt-free.... :-/

I'm glad you enjoyed the photo!
