Could we have a thread for calendar submissions?
I would be interested in seeing what you folks have submitted (albeit in smaller format).
Is that a possibility, or something that's just not done?
Having not been here for one of these.....

1. I think that's a great idea.
I don't think this has been done before, though.

2. It is a great idea - yet -
I don't know the volume of work it would be for blueraven, but I have a hunch it is a lot.

Harvey:
When I was for the first time last year involved in watching what she had to do to put up the voting threads, I hung my head in commiseration.

Putting up teaser threads showing the options to come would be double that kind of work.

I've waited saying something here, thinking she may pipe up.

I don't understand what she has to do, I only know from watching that I would not know how.
Ever.
(I just proved I can't put on a monthly contest without annoying mishaps)

You will see the photos people are submitting, in their entirety, when the voting happens.
You will also see that it is a wondrous event.

Those are my thoughts on your request, and I'm sticking to them.

I have not had a chance to look through my files, which is where I'll start, but I think I'll be going for details, except for maybe heading downtown to shoot the "Reynolds Building", which is the nation's only copy of the Empire State Building on a diminished scale.

I hope I'm making sense to you, and I hope it may explain why there has been just one reply before this one.

3. What I was thinking would not involve blueraven at all
Just that each individual post their own, if they wished.

5. we could, but...
Edited on Mon Jun-28-10 11:53 AM by blueraven95
everyone will see all of the photos come voting time, so it may be redundant.

If you guys want to start a thread, I don't mind. Just please make it clear that posting on the thread does not mean you have submitted to the calendar (i.e. link to the submission guideline thread or something similar).

edit to add: sorry to not reply sooner; I was off-line all weekend.
