Poll question: Suggestions for a Theme June 2010 - Please vote in the Poll

Photo folks and other interested parties: I want to involve you and I want us to have fun. I'm adding examples, and meant to do them small, but Photobucket is not allowing a smaller upload today :argh:

The first choice is "visual alliteration" a repeat of a particular motif or item, with variations on the theme.
I liked it a lot when Elfin Yeti did a thread on it and was surprised how it opened my eyes to the possibilities.



Then comes "Symmetry".
Anything - your interpretation



Then "Shadows"
Again - your interpretation



I'm adding "Stairways" just to maybe get it out of our system, I'm adding one with shadows for those who think stairways are dull



And finally
"Color me purple" with no visual, it's
entirely your interpretation, though mine right now would be founded in "rage" over our inabilities to deal with man made disaster and problems.

I'll run this poll until Monday evening 6pm or thereabouts.

Then I'll give the schedule for the whole contest.
I will try to incorporate the new and improved rules, with the very welcome help of our own sandnsea who offered it.

I hope for us to find something that excites us, and makes us all want to participate.

Won't stairways be included in the calendar--architecture? At least some stairways could be included in that, I would assume.

I've always liked the visual alliteration theme since the long thread was posted, so I just stuck with that.

3. My thoughts on your feedback so far:

I'm amazed at the votes "Color me purple" is getting, considering that it it is to show "Anger" which is such a tricky one I could not find anything in my files.
It sure is easy one to feel though, right now, isn't it?

I'm happy about the "Visual Alliteration" making a good showing, I'd vote for it, right after voting for "Stairways" of course.

Hey, if the stairs don't make it this time, I'll be able to post one when they finally do.
And if it is in May, I'll have a good chance to win.
I realized two things today:

I won in May of 2009
and I won in May of 2010
If you hold off on "Stairways" til May of 2011, guess who's bound to win it?

The second thing I learned is that if in a poll you put this symbol into the header << or >>
it will not post.
It took one hour out of my life to get that lesson under my belt.
