1. cool self portrait
Any geocaches there? (I looked on the geocache map and found one on the Tennessee River at a dock that I regularly pass on walks. I may try to find it.)

No hiking boots needed?

Was there supposed to be a black fly picture, or was that just a comment? They are HIGHLY annoying.

2. no separate black fly picture
but if you look close at my self portrait you can see lots of little ones flying around. I took my camera up hoping to get lots of pictures and I wasn't able to stay still long enough to shoot much of anything. There are geocaches planted in the area but we got a late start and the goal was get to the top and back - no time for diversions.

I have never hiked in boots. The shoes that I was wearing took me down into the Grand Canyon last year so I don't want to ever get rid of them.

I hiked Camel's Hump (3rd highest peak in Vermont) yesterday with my daughter and her dog. It was special because the last time I hiked the mountain - I was about 5 months pregnant with her and it was a snowstorm at the top. Not yesterday, but it was still hazy from the forest fires burning in Quebec.

Celebration, let me know if you find a cache. I have taken a few people out to find their first one and it is always fun.

3. I should be able to find it at that dock
It is about one tenth of a mile away from our mobile home at the Tennessee River. Well, as the crow flies. Since I don't like to fish, I am always looking for cool stuff to do. The town is totally dead. I have a GREAT idea of where to hide one up there too. I doubt if this gets to be a major hobby or anything, but I am a Scorpio, was born in both the year and the month of the Boar, and, typically, I like mysteries and I like to try to find things.
