Wetland

This is an area being nurtured back to wilderness in a park nearby. I'd be interested to see what everyone else has in terms of local projects like this.

1. Very nice, JeffR
We actually do have a reclamation project at Westchester Lagoon which they've been working on to encourage a better salmon run in Chester Creek. Great idea, since it just might bring the grizzlies down into town.

I don't have any pictures handy, but I'll take some the next time we walk over that way.

3. Grizzlies! Just what a wetland needs.

A few years back, fish weirs were added to our sad downtown river, allowing trout & salmon to migrate upriver. No uptick in bear sightings though.

2. I really groove with that shot, it reminds me of my bikerides in areas
similar to it.
The blue and the perspective make me happy.

I even have some shots to post on that theme, but I don't right now have time to find them.

My family theme song for me, when I'm pushed against the wall with work, is "Too much time on my hands....."

5. Love the perspective.
Great angle on that shot. :hi:

We have signs in a lot of places now designating watersheds in the area of the Arkansas River. Still doesn't keep the rednecks from littering up the areas, tho.
