1. First thought that came to mind: "A new born".
That means it is a complete success.

3. Crocus!!
Yours is the first picture I have looked at on this high definition screen I have, and I have to say, this is a gorgeous picture.

Crocus are always the first to come out. Very brave since it recently snowed there.

5. yes, they are very hardy
Crocus that is, they usually pop their heads out of snow here. They seem so fragile but if you think about it they must be incredibly strong to push through ground that is barely unthawed and often times through snow.

6. This has a beguiling 3D quality to it, and not just because of the DOF.
It really seems to pop out of the screen. And considering the winter you seem to have had, it sure as hell is a sign of hope. We've been in or just below the 50s for about a week here, but I have yet to see a flower anywhere.

7. I'm so jealous.
We just had another six inches of snow, and it's colder than it's been most of the winter. It ALWAYS does this in March. :( At least it's getting lighter.

8. Damn, Blue. That's a shame.
What I thought was just a false spring here is showing signs of being the real thing, weirdly early though it is. I suppose it isn't so weird in light of catastrophic climate change. It's 46 out there just after midnight here. Three days of rain in the forecast, which will wash off the last of the winter muck.

When we get snow first week of April I'm going to revisit this post...

;-)
