What settings do you recommend for taking pictures of illuminaries at night?
On Friday I bought a Nikon D3000 camera. As part of the Black Friday sales, it came with an 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens.

I'll post some of my photos I've taken as soon as I can.

This coming Saturday I'm going to Antietam Battlefield for their annual Illuminations, where they light 23,000 illunimaries lining the battlefield. With the camera and lenses I have, what would be the best settings for taking good pictures of the lighted battlefield? I should also say that you're not allowed to leave your car, so I can't use a tripod or set up other lighting, etc.

thanks!

:hi:

4. candles, LOTS of candles
23,000, which adds up to about 10 rows of candles on both sides of the road going down the entire length of the road.
