1. That's a nice shot, Jump.
Were you singing in the choir?

3. At the Methodist church I used to attend
sometimes the choir would sing from the balcony, that's why I asked.

4. having a helluva time seeing the whole thing - BUT
once accomplished it takes me way back to places I only remember in my dreams.
(Preacher's Kid here - gave up church because of overexposure)

The photo is sensitively presenting the event at hand
(that's my new way to say "stunning")
and allows me to be right in there as if I did not purposely stay home.

it's a photo to make me hold my breath in admiration of the driver of the camera.

5. Did you do any noise reduction
during the post processing, or is the Nikon D700 living up to expectations?

6. no noise reduction, just the usual
stuff in lightroom with a little tweakage, pretty much right out of the camera

and yes, the d700 is pronominal... my latest in a long line of "fall in love with" cameras

8. This might very well be
as good a shot as I've seen here since I been hanging around in these parts.

No way I'd ever be in such a picture - and yet it is so compelling it really draws me in.

I think that speaks to its power!
