An unexpected cameo..
Over the last 15 years or so, NYC has seen a growing population of raptor type birds, attracted by the hidey-holes in the old tall buildings and I suspect, some tasty pigeons. I see them often enough in photos, usually at a far distance from what I'm shooting. A few weeks ago, I was taking some pictures of James Renwick's little jewel in the Village, Grace Church. This visitor showed up in the middle of 3 shots taken over 20 seconds. I never saw him in the viewfinder. A birder friend of mine thinks s/he is a peregrine falcon.

It could almost be the English countryside. Except for the water tanks. And the cab. :)

1. What an exquisite church!
Too bad there's so much crap all around...

And I love the falcon, or whatever it is...

They move very fast...

Great shot!
