3. How creative can
we be with this? Would a composite be okay?

4. No fair asking after submissions have started!
I was thinking of composite (well, a collage) of some of my images, but went with a straight photo. But you know, I have no authority on this and bow to whatever Contest Master mth44sc rules on the subject.

5. Mz Pip
I don't have a problem with it. The only thing I really don't care for are photos that are so processed they end up looking more like "art" (or in some cases - a velvet Elvis) than photography.

I haven't been around these parts long enough to know if there is any historical objection to your request. I'm sure someone will fill us in if there is...

6. I haven't been around DU
as much as usual do to having to serve on a jury trial so I was just checking. If it bothers some people that I asked the question after submissions started, I'll just do a single photo. Hopefully desaturating won't be a problem.

7. Some contest themes call for processing, some don't. This one calls
for a more journalistic eye. How best can you tell the story within the context of these times. At least that's how I see it.

9. "Hope for New Pride" choked me up.
For Election Night I plan to bring out a flag, and finally put it outside my window, take it back from the psychos, feel pride again.

All the photos are wonderful, but that one hit me in my gut.

11. Wishful Thinking...
I think I have a picture of that very same truck. Was that picture taken during the September 2005 demonstration in DC? It sure looks familiar.

and it's showing up too big anyway. Does Photobucket take a while to show changes?

15. I suspect it's because people are too involved with the
debate tonight, and with working on the election...

I know those are my reasons...

I'm sorry.

16. I think Peggy's probably right.
On the brighter side, whatever it's missing in quantity, it really shines in quality, IMHO.

17. Ugly post surgery and pins foot photos just do not
fit the theme and I am trapped for a while yet or I would of tried.

Some themes just take a bit more thought and effort than others and don't bring out the numbers. Some even sound easy until you get right down to it and start second guessing yourself. It happens so just enjoy the easier work load on your end. The photos there are hard enough to choose a fav from.

19. Testy is ok and you might not of been
so much testy as disappointed? Having been the wisea** that used "strength" as her first contest theme and didn't get many entries and what did come in came in very slow I understand the feeling. Course I am starting to have to work very hard at not feeling trapped and frustrated these days so I might be reading testy. Upside the Obama campaign is smart enough to let a person phone bank from home so I don't feel quite as bad since I really wanted to go to help.
