I Bring You Highgate Cemetery in B & W (dial-up warning)
Edited on Wed Jun-08-05 03:58 PM by Crisco

If you look very closely, you'll maybe notice where the film was damaged by the lab. Warning #2: never trust a drugstore that has to send out with your B & W film :(

1. Very nice shots.
For some reason I really like that Caroline Tucker one. The detail in that sculpture is awesome.

2. Okay. Simply incredible
I like Tucker as well, but #3 just slapped me in the face. What's that called.... oh yea... emotion. I had one of those emotional reactions. :) Also really like 7 & 8.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't look that closely, but are you referring to some of the random... what appears to be linear marks .. as being the damage?

When I dropped off the film, I was told it would be a week. Two weeks later, they finally came back. There were tears in two places on the film, and I lost two images of Karl Marx's grave altogether. (A capitalist plot, I'm tellin' ya!). And yes, the scratches on Miss Caroline's pic. I had to Photoshop the bottom left of the pondering angel with the stamp, because of a tear.

Of #3, I had a hard time deciding whether I wanted the focus on her face, or the leaves; the leaves won.

My favorites are Caroline, leaf lady, and the pondering angel. I also like how the light came down on the first one (mostly rainy, cloudy day).

6. I would have focused on the face
Because I still have a problem thinking "outside the photograph". I'm glad you chose the leaves. It worked very well.

4. Good work. All cemetaries look great in B/W...
and aint it amazing that something that takes 9:30sec of development time at 68deg takes TWO WEEKS to get back?

You can easily develop your own B/W film with about at most a $30 investment.

8. Yeah, I Could
We used to do that in high school, so I have done it. I hated fumbling around with those pliers & tanks :)

7. This is a famous one, in London
There's an east side and a west side; I didn't even make it over to the west side and there's some wonderful goods over there.
