Arabian Adventure
Here are some pics from last weekend... Went on a touristy desert expedition (won the free trip)...

This area of the desert is near Al Maha resort between Dubai and Al Ain in the UAE.

Did have a great time though... got some great sunset and dune pics... the quality doesn't show 100% on youtube...

1. Hey that looked familiar!
Did you win a dune bashing trip with the feast afterwards? I bet those guys with the major "tool sheds" were German tourists. They looked Bavarian.

2. Definitely Germans... with a few British mixed-in
Yes, we won the trip... It was fun, but we usually prefer more eco-oriented things... (hence the sarcasm in the transitions)...

Tool sheds and the one poor lady dancing in the second part had me rolling on the carpet...

Truly, what happens in the desert, should stay in the desert...

4. We did... the heat is extreme now... was still close to 45cent
at eating time... You don't eat so much when it is that hot.

The heat has come early this year.

5. Wow, it is soggy and raining here
I thought it was supposed to dry up. Only a measly 52F. Looks like they changed the forecast, MORE RAIN, all week. Only 40s on Weds.!! Possible snow in the higher elevations.

Hey, it's almost end of May already enough!! :spank:

7. Germany has two weather patterns:
Fantastic or Stuck on Shitty.

It either rains all summer, or it is dry. Last year was pretty lousy, outside of the 3 weeks my daughters were here, I am hoping we at least get some dry sunny days this summer. It seems that rain backs up against the Alps and stays there for days on end. :( Can be a real downer. Why can't it do that in the winter???

When the grey days last for more than a week, one must flee over the Brenner Pass to Italia to feel human again.

Keep an eye on the forecast for end of June, you might want to bring some warm fleece or something? But hopefully the weather will have figured out that it is summer by then.
