2. Thanks, I needed that.
Fortunately, it seems to have slacked off a little, but it was coming down in huge clumpy flakes a little while ago. This is just ridiculous. Where's that global warming when you need it?

11. No, it stopped, thank God.
And didn't stick. It warmed up nicely this afternoon, and the snow from last week is melting, although there's still some around. I just want to plant my flowers and my vegetables before they outgrow their little starting pots. Waaaa......hhhhhh...

15. Could you plant
and cover with some clear plastic for a week or two? Or is there still white stuff on the ground?

16. There's still some snow
Certain parts of the garden are thawing, but some is still frozen pretty solid. I've got my seeds started under lights, though, so as soon as it warms up just a little I can start hardening off and then get stuff in the ground in a couple of weeks if we're lucky. We're really pretty much on schedule here temperature-wise, the snow was just kind of unexpected.

3. Good Grief Blue...
...you need something between what you are getting and this:

:hi: You SURE your state is dealing properly with its property taxes? I thought they were supposed to assure good weather when the time came... :D

4. I just really don't get it.
It's not like this is unheard of, but it's been a really long time since we've had snow this late in the spring. The first year I moved up here in 1975, we had snow in the first week of May, but that was back when it used to be cold here. We got so used to the mild winters and early springs the past couple of decades, this just seems kind of bizarre.

In some ways a return to the good ol' days of cold would be a good thing, of course, but we were kind of liking the Washington State-like weather. Oh, well, maybe the glaciers will come back.

5. MT used to get a sloppy snow in Apr or May
Every single year, that's how we knew winter was over for sure. We got snow a week ago and we never get snow, so don't feel too bad!

13. That's just beautiful.
Very similar irises grow here in some of the boggier areas. I'm so looking forward to the flowers.

Dear Hullboss,
For Mothers Day Blue really needs to see flowers. Know of any greenhouses near by or even just a flower in a vase. I know we can count on you. Thanks, CC
