I remember spending time with my father in Colorado when he worked in a studio there. He would print by sunlight. A wooden print frame with a felt backing and glass front, Velox paper (very slow), a negative clamped into the frame and several minutes exposure in the sunlight. Then back into the darkroom to develop and fix the print. I still have one of those print frames.
