1. spot metering and mirror lockup on the Canon Rebel line
it's about time. Still no new 5D announcement, and I've heard that there won't be one until fall. Not that I care, I love my 5D.

2. Neat new hardware! I'm glad to see someone (Fuji) put pixle
count in perspective. There are trade-offs to be made for resolution and I'm happy to see a manufacturer acknowledge it and offer a compromise to the advantage of a casual shooter.
