View from Braunwald
I'm not much of a skier, but I adore sledding! We were recently in Braunwald and spent a wonderful afternoon sledding down the mountain, admiring the gorgeous view all the while.

2. I'm not sure how far it is,
but the ride down takes about 8-10 minutes, and that's at a very brisk rate of speed with lots of curves and bumps! It's terrific! You end up right down by the ski lift, which in a short time brings you right back up to the top to start all over again.

Glad you like the photo!

:hi:

7. Thanks.
I'm always amazed at how similar Alaska and Switzerland look in the photos. Both make taking beautiful landscape shots easy. :)

4. Beautiful shot, tomeboy.
After living in Florida for over 20 years, I really enjoy seeing landscape photos that have more elevation than a speed bump - and winter scenes are definitely a bonus.

Thanks for sharing this. :hi:

5. Thanks soup!
With all of the talented people here in this DU forum, I'm always a bit sheepish about posting photos! If this pic is nice, it's because the view was stunning-I just pushed the shutter button. Had I been more serious I would have used a tripod and tweeked some of the parameters a bit.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
