For those of you that don't have macro lenses

intheflow brought these "close up" filters to my attention. Wasn't aware that there were so many. Probably too late to order one on-line but maybe your local camera store might have em. And they're a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a dedicated macro lens.

Just a suggestion if anyone is struggling with "how" they're going to take a shot of a bug's ass.

that I used on the Mavica. I don't know if they fit the Canon - guess I'd better check.

The little lenses I have can't go on the Canon, but they REALLY magnify on the old camera. Thanks for reminding me that I have these.

The body is in focus. For such a wide bug I'd say thats about the best you could do with a nice macro shot.

p.s. looks like I'm gonna have to start practicing my macro shots to compete :P
