1. Got a spare two million or so?
What a shame that us ordinary mortals will never get to read and enjoy.

2. I thought it was more like four...
Or is an American dollar now worth 50 cents Australian?

4. Just under two million pounds - I wasn't clear.
That's around $AU4.5.

I guess in decades to come, someone will put one of the six gifted books on the market - I couldn't
begin to guess what they'd fetch.

It would be wonderful to have one, but you'd probably have to keep it in a bank vault, and never
get to look at it anyway.

5. If I had one, I'd get a forgery made
that I could look at and read. :)

7. I believe that's what some of the Beautiful People do with their jewels.
Have copies made to wear, while the "investment" sits in the bank.

Not a problem I've ever had to cope with.

3. As the post at the bottom of the Amazon page puts it:
"The world has gone mad."

OTOH, it's probably not a bad investment on Amazon's part. Only 7 copies, handmade, by the world's best ever selling author?

6. Absolutely, an investment that can only increase.
Beautiful workmanship though - the sort of thing that only royalty and nobility would have had in
days gone by.

And their proposal to tour the book around the country to schools is excellent, although the
logistics would be frightful. Imagine trying to cater to so many schools, so many children -
and they wouldn't dare let anyone get too close. It would have to travel with its own security
guards.
