This is so wierd. The guy Doug is living with
tried to impersonate him him in an email exchange.

All I tried to do was tell Doug I was going to file in January. And I unleashed this thing on myself. :scared:

The thing is, he didn't write this. It's a fraud. The guy he's living with wrote it. Geeze, it's hard enough to divorce one person. I don't even know what he refers to most of the time.

Gosh, this is ugly.

I am not going to contact you any further. i will not read your e=mails or letters. You seem to be under the delusion that i should be in jail or be sued and i am only breathing free air because of you. No one else in the world thinks that except you. You are not my caretaker. You have no power over me, have nothing to sue me over, cannot hurt me anymore, cannot put me in jail. Your incredible anger and rage only hurts yourself.
You need to get yourself under control. I have no idea what the PG&E reference is. You seem to think I do. I do not know what you are talking about. Go ahead and use your lawyer. He will never agree to a court trial and will agree to arbitration, as will everyone else. You and your mother cannot even afford a lawyer and he will probably never be paid. You need to concentrate on paying your bills so I do not get them anymore.

I am clean and sober, go to meetings, have a sponsor, go to two therapists, take my 25 pills a day, do service to others, diet and exercise,
and try not to think of the fact that my wife left me for a bottle more than two years ago. Please do not contact me any further.

3. What's really strange about this is that this same guy
was smeared by Doug once when Doug lived with him. I don't think Doug did it on purpose exactly. Maybe he really experienced the story he told about being abused and ripped off. But you'd think this guy would know better.

I mean, this whole diatribe is so divorced from reality, it's hard to even start untangling it. The unreality really shook me up, still is, I guess. It's full of rage being projected all over me.

:scared:

5. I don't know why this is okay with anyone.
I understand having a reaction but man, this was harsh.

So hard not to react back and to just be a decent human being.

But that's the challenge, isn't it? To keep on believing in the best of us or at very least, to believe we can do better.

6. That's the way breaking up is
you are hurt, he is hurt, and you try to hurt each other back and forth yadda yadda yadda.........

But at some point one must just get up off the floor dust herself off and move on without the other....

Difficult I know, but it must be done at some point.:grouphug:

7. more proof to that saying
the more you help someone, the more you actually hurt them.

man oh man, you cared so much for this doug guy and he's having some numb nut crap on you.

I've been reading your posts for over two years now, you tried so hard to heal him, you were so understanding. What's the lesson in all of this? IMHO, to not let this somehow make you bitter or have you lose faith in your fellow human beings. You have a nurturing loving heart and appear to be guided by the greater good....lots of worthy causes out there, my friend. I predict one day doug will be at your doorstep asking for another chance.

In this upside down time, my best wishes comrade.

I am Kate

9. At the risk of sounding like a simp
My late father's girlfriend, a psychologist, said the way people treat you has infinitely more to do with them than it does with you.

So think of what a fucked-up mess this guy must be inside.

10. Yep. The projection is pretty awful, isn't it.
Sometimes simp is what works. :)
