Does anyone know what this $^%@# is talking about?
(Story at MyDD by the usual front-page suspect...it doesn't deserve a link; it's from today if you really must look.)

Saying something about Kerry proposing a corporate tax cut after he won Iowa.

Given the author's track record on Kerry, Kerry may have proposed a tax cut for small corporations while closing the loopholes that allow big corporations to hide money offshore and not pay taxes.

Does anyone have references for wtf this guy might be talking about?

1. For company's making jobs here
He proposed eliminating tax incentives that encouraged companies to outsource and the tax benefits for keeping money overseas - and creating some new tax cuts for companies that keep jobs in the US. I remember the lefty loons going crazy over it at the time, I think they believe the stork left their computer under their bed one morning. Well cripes, that would take a bed stork too.

2. Yes - it was ONLY for job creators and LOSS of taxbreaks for corporate
cheats who took their businesses offshore.

4. Thanks for that article Sandsea
He spoke about this a lot. He was honest and up front about it. Those lefty loonies always come out with something when Kerry shows up on their computers. You know the ones who say nobody wants John Kerry, and then they read about his appearances and standing O's and people that really do like him. That is a thorn in their side, so, the attacks begin, what a sad lot they are.

5. He spoke about it this year
Edited on Sat May-13-06 06:57 PM by ProSense
when the whole outsourcing issue popped up in the news (I wish I could find that NH(?) video). It would be one thing if these were lefty loonies, but a lot of these critics are supporting people who are to the right of Kerry on many of the issues. They are either clueless or disingenuous.

3. Answer it with the truth in GD before the story takes hold.
That's the only way to counter. Gather the facts and post them at MyDD and in GD P to make the point stick better.

6. True, even if it was not as bad as The idiot on mydd makes it.
Kerry proposed a 5 % tax cuts for companies across the board AND to repeal holes in the tax code that benefited to companies that were sending jobs overseas.

I think that many Democrats (myself included) thought the taxcut across the board was a bad idea and that strategies that would have given tax cuts to companies that create jobs only was better. But it hardly justify the claim that Kerry would have been a bad president because beholden to special interest. This is the crazyness of M.S. (probably still angry at Kerry and unhappy that he is taking a leading role these days).

7. Thanks everyone
I posted a couple times over there.

I really don't know why the liberal blogosphere puts up with blatant liars like that.

8. If my memory serves me well
I remember Kerry talking about offering a tax credit to have
businesses that moved out of the country to come back.

Which I think is an excellent idea btw.
