She is just being smart. What Dems need is coverage
and Murdoch can provide that coverage. We might not like Fox but millions watch it and I would much rather they push a Dem face than the GOP. There is NO politician so ideologically pure that they would turn down press coverage because they didn't like the owner of the media empire. Honest to god, I am not a Hillary fan but the stupidity of some regarding press is astounding. Some bitch and bitch that the media never covers us and then someone like Hillary steps up to the plate and gets some press and publicity and you whine. Well, perhaps if the more ideologically pure would make a deal to get coverage, they might actually be able to make a difference instead of complaining how no one covers them. Congrats to Hillary. She is making things happen and she will help other Dems as a result!

1. She is taken advantage of her status to gain recognition for herself, IMO.
I read months ago she had flown to Australia to meet with Murdoch. Hillary will share this media connection just about as much as she has shared her donations with her fellow Dem's. Murdoch is a greedy business man only interested in what he thinks will gain him the most profit. This is Senator Clinton's way of reaching the voters in the "red" states who only watch Fox news.

2. hm, will the red states respond, though?
How many Repubs are itching to support the wife of Bill Clinton. It would be like one of us supporting, oh, say Laura Bush a few years down the road!

3. I MO, no, but stranger things have happened. She seems to be
reaching out that way with the moves to the middle and now this. What I don't understand is she seems to be ignoring or taking the Dem base for granted, perhaps thinking they will come around a vote for her when the time comes simply because she is the Dem candidate.

4. I remember Lieberman running to the right of everyone else
in the primaries. His argument was that he was in the best position to beat * because he was the most like him on the war! But he kind of got lost in the shuffle, didn't he. The base isn't really interested in compromising. Maybe in the general, but not in the primary. We wanted someone electable, but not Joe.
