Kerry: Taking federal money a mistake.
Brief article, and a nice slide show you can rate up! :-)

I'm a fan of publicly funded elections myself...

4. I had posted about this in the Salon thread
He's right.

He did put out the idea of not accepting the nomination until Bush did, to keep it fair. I know when he came out with it, I thought that it made a lot of sense. But I think those in the party, the one's that think they know so much, should of listened to him. He could of kept on spending his campaign money and kicked those swifties right in their lying asses. I think if Kerry runs again he is going to go with his basic instinct and not those that think they know it all.

5. He took a lot of heat for that at home
cuz the convention was here. The problem was that the idea was floated too close to the actual time of the convention. sigh! And the Dems were competitive with the Rethugs for money right down the line. That was unprecedented. I wish he had renounced the matching funds as well, but, at the time it was also thought that was a bad idea because Kerry had been such a strong supporter of the matching funds program. Sigh!
