1. It is!
I watched it earlier yesterday and today on CNNi and it was the best thing I've seen since a long time on US-based TV.

2. It was a good show
It was a sort of 'Greatest Hits' of what went wrong in the planning and execution of the build-up to war. It's also really sad.

They mentionied the DSM, the role of Tenet and the CIA (and how the CIA was both ignored and then blamed for the intelligence failures) and how the Admin lied to get what it wanted.

It was a little light on the role of the press in pushing for war. (Judith Miller and the NYTimes pushed that story on the aluminum tubes and how they could have only been used for weapons when that was a total lie) but it was an excellent introductory show about what the hell went wrong in this debacle. Sigh!

Anyone else see it?

4. Woo Hoo !!!
For CNN, it was awesome.
Too much of the blame went to the CIA and not enough to the * admin, but they squeezed a lot of truth into an hour. I'll take it and sleep better tonight.

5. It is the most truthful MSM Show on Iraq yet broadcast
Really. (Well, that isn't Frontline or broadcast on PBS.) It talk frankly and hnonestly about what the hell happened. And the blame is placed on the shoulders of an Admin that wanted a war and did what it could to get one. That same Admin decided after the War started to go badly that it could put off blame for their failures on the CIA and other intelligence gathering agencies. As such, it is a very good intro.

I hope more that the converted choir of Dems see it.

8. Well, my Mom (somehow) got my Dad to watch it with her. He
voted for Bush in 2000 but not in 2004 - didn't vote for Prez. He thinks they have screwed up the handling of the war but I don't think he had a clue about all the scheming and lying to get to the war in the first place.

That is good news. He isn't part of the choir. Now if I can only get my Husband to watch it :eyes:

6. I caught the last half of it
and thought it was a pretty hard hitting (for CNN anyway). I agree with you GV, I think they seemed to pin too much of the blame on the CIA and not enough on Shrub Co.

Who did they say wrote the e-mail that said basically it doesn't matter what Curve Ball says, we're going to war anyway? (Or something to that effect.) I assume it was someone from within the administration* but I didn't catch who they said wrote it.

Just when you think you can't despise the folks in the administration* any more than you already do, something comes along to remind you "yes I can!" I hope they replay this often.

7. There are a few clips on the website
http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/presents/

and it replays at 11 EDT. I'll regret it tomorrow, but I'm staying up to watch it again.
