I'm back (obviously)
The eyeball is itchy, but mostly better. (I wanna rub it, but I can't) I guess itchy is good, as it's healing.

My vision is mostly back as well. I know from prior experience that it will be slightly blurry for a while yet as the cornea heals.

In Kerry news, I went over to Ed Schultz's new messageboard, named myself Kerryfan, and asked when Eddie is going to have Kerry as a guest. Heh.

Then I encountered someone who called Kerry an imperialist. He's only just started listening to Ed. I get the feeling he's gonna find Ed too far to the right for him. Imperialist? And he proudly stated as well that he didn't vote for Clinton either time, or Gore or Kerry. Greeeeat. Thanks for all the help, dude.

3. Paper cut on my eye
I'm a Mailroom Coordinator. So I work with labels printers, with the backing from the labels coming out the back. All I did was wad some up in my hand to throw it away, and the trail of backing that wasn't wadded up went past my eye as I made the motion to throw the stuff in the garbage.

Vip! One cornea scratch. No patch, just ointment and drops and a tetenus shot. My vision is alittle blurry yet, because the cut was right in my field of vision, but I expect that to heal. I've actually done this before, last time with a piece of box fuzz. That time sucked even worse, as they made me wear a contact to cover the eye, and putting one of those in and leaving it there when you've never worn one before hurt worse than the box fuzz scratches.

So my eye is still getting fatigued, mostly because of the blurryness I think, but aside from that, yeah, I'm okay.

Just sounds funny to say "I got a paper cut on my eye." I'm just enough of an attention seeker to enjoy the reactions when I say that.

5. Owie!
I've scratched my cornea before, it very painful and annoying. I must say a paper cut on the eye is rather amusing, but I can see (pardon the pun) how that could have happened.

Take it easy and avoid too much strain on it.

4. Nah, it's not too bad
I did worse a while back, sadly.

At least they didn't make me wear a patch. I had to wear a contact as a patch the last time (box fuzz in the eye). The contact hurt more than the eye did.

The Doc said it was longer than it was deep. But yeah, it wasn't a one day and you're done thing. No worries. I just gotta stop gunnin' for my eyes.
