New favorite pic (Nasty)

OMG, There wasn't a day in the General Election that I didn't feel like doing what that dog did so freely. Smart dog.

There was this big friggin sign in Nashua for The Idiot King and his running mate Sauron (that undisclosed location the Veep hides out in is Mordor, I just know it.) I would see this big sign everytime I went to Kerry headquarters (until the last weekend when they moved Kerry headquarters to a deserted but extremely filthy warehouse because of the number of volunteers.) I hated that sign. Just hated it. I wanted so badly to rip it down.

2. you know,
I've been seeing fewer B/C bumper stickers around here lately. I still see plenty of yellow ribbon magnets, but the B/C stickers seem to be evaporating here in this red county of Wisconsin. And the chimp's approval ratings are down to 43now,I hear. But he's not done yet, oh no! He's still got a few more rotten moves up his sleeves, just wait. He seems bound and determined to make a complete botch of it.

Look at the faces of the GOP senators closely. They all look like they either just came from a funeral, or that they ate something that didn't agree with them. In short, they look simply miserable. But the Dem senators are filled with Fire! I loved Schumer today, and Teddy--he was the best, with his recounting of all the Senators who preceeded him in representing Massachusetts.

LOL--one more aside: I was telling my husband about Teddy's wonderful speech on the floor today, and how he was the senior senator, and had been there so long, and all that. Then he said, innocently, "and who is the other senator?" LOL--I couldn't believe he'd forgotten!

3. That story about Sen. Charles Sumner is great
It was in the newspaper article I had from back in 1984. They recounted the history of Massachusetts in the Senate and how we have a history of being out-spoken and provocative. Sen. Sumner was beaten nearly to death at his seat in the Senate by a Southerner who thought Sumner was insulting his family. Sumner took four years to recover but went back on the floor of the Senate and continued to crusade against slavery. (Ahm, recounting this story was a way of saying to the '84 Senate candidates, "No pressure, but you have big shoes to fill here guys." I think Sen. Kerry fills them rather well. Plus he's really big and I doubt anyone would ever lay a glove on 'em. Guy is a combat vet, he knows how to defend himself.)

I did notice that Sens. Kerry and Kennedy have taken to filing joint press releases when they have important MA news to impart to the home folks. The last one was a joint issuance about how much money the Highway Bill would bring to MA. It's nice to have two well-known and powerful Senators sometimes. (Big swelly pride moment here.)

6. Or he was teasing you
I may be very presumptious, but I could hear my husband (or kids) saying precisely that, as they know I still deeply regret that the other Senator were not longer the other Senator, but had been replaced.

7. Me too!
I really, really, really wish I was getting ready for a special election to the Senate in MA. Sigh! (Or maybe we would have had it by now, I have blocked those plans from my mind.)
