I like WEL's idea of reaching out to people
Kerry is my pick for 2008 but I believe we should work with other people despite our disagreements on potential candiates if they are strong promoters of dems staying united. BTW I saw a gross post in GD about how Obama is really a DLC/Neo Con agent, agh I dont like the vote on CAFTA he may make but do people seriously listen to themselves speak. Anyhow, this is why and I say this sarcastically why I'll never run for congress because even if I win, I'll piss some extremeist leftist off by not towing their line, of course the real reason I wont run is because I am too shy. Anyhow, I believe in a working together with supporters of other people if they respect the goals of the party and not treat its members like they are "bushlite" because bushlite is a title reserved for only the truly bad not people like Kerry. There, I said my piece.

4. Exactly, those extremeists fall right in to their trap
I dont agree with the dem candiate running for governor here on abortion but I think he's a good guy and I admire that he is at least personally anti death penalty and will probably try to miminalize use of it, I'd rather he try to outright ban it but in a state that uses the death penalty more per captia than texas, it wont happen.

2. my biggest problem is that we are a minority party
and yet people want to focus on beating up on other Democrats. compared to Republicans even some of the most conservative Democrats are more liberal. and even compared to the most liberal republicans the conservative Democrat usually has a better record.

but too many people just want to rant and don't even know the facts.

6. I don't think there are any liberal Repubs
Not like there used to be. (No Jacob Javits or Lowell Weicker.) I think we have the sane Repubs, maybe like Chris Shays in CT or Olympia Snowe in ME and the insane Rethugs like Allen. (Yucky)

Kleeb, what in Gawd's name did Virginia do to so piss off the Divine that you wound up with George Allen? When I look at him, I am reminded of why we have laws against incest. (This kind of freak of nature could happen to you so keep your hands off your sister.)

7. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins are my grandma's Senators
and they are fairly liberal for repubs.

8. Moderates, Snowe more so than Collins
I kind of like them both. They are not bad for Repubs. But Maine is becoming more and more Democratic (as is New Hampshire.) I would have no problem working for their Dem opponents. (Sorry. I like them, but I like Dems more.)

9. Yes, I would like to see them replaced by Dems too.
Especially in Maine which is fairly liberal.

12. My sympathies
I shall pray for the Old Dominion and ask that she be released from the torment of this rat bastard. Honestly, the funniest moment of the whole not-very-funny Bolton committee hearing was watching George Allen try to figure out what ties and losing votes actually meant.

13. The L-man is good as for environmental issues and
ok with gay rights (he gets like an 88% HRC rating which is pretty good).

Gilchrist sponsered an environmental bill against air pollution that I signed a support through the Concerned Scientists. He is ok.
