OT: I'm becoming a first-time homebuyer tomorrow
I'm closing on my very first home tomorrow. It's just a condo, but it'll be mine. Well, mine and the bank's. And the cats'. But they'll all allow me to live there, and to decorate as I like. :D

I won't be moving in for about a month, so I can paint, replace the carpets, and make a few other changes. It's a bit of a fixer-upper, so I see a future full of visits to the hardware store. But I'm still wicked psyched. :bounce:

3. Congratulations!
Condos have their own advantages. We had a condo, before we got a house (when we were expecting kid #2). Each winter, as we shovel snow, we long for the days of the condo when shoveling, landscaping etc were done by the association.

4. How fun for you!!
I remember my first house, a long long time ago. Such a sense of accomplishment. And very nice to be able to do anything you want to.

Congratulations!!

6. The closing was yesterday
I'm officially a new homeowner :D, although I won't be moving in for another 4 weeks or so. I just spent lots of money at the paint store today. The painting starts tomorrow, beginning with the ceilings. The dining room, living room, hallway and both bedrooms need to be painted. After that's done, the new carpet for the bedrooms and tile for the bathroom are next. I hope to be settling into the new "Casa de la Rox" around Memorial Day weekend. So if I'm a bit scarce over the next few weeks, it's probably due to my home-improvement projects.
