I hate his vote for the bankruptcy bill but my conclusions lead me to believe that Hoyer leans liberal but has some moderate tendencies like being a strong supporter of free trade, some support of business but overall this guy is a guy I would be happy to call congressman. Oh yeah and I know some of us like yours truly have disablities, Hoyer was the chief sponsor of the Americans with Disablities Act, I am learning disabled so this man while not perfect is a friend to people like me.

1. why let a few facts get in the way
of people's need to rant about how everyone is selling them out.

i'm pretty sure many of those who complain are the least informed. a good example are those fools who started attacking Kerry and Hillary for the bankruptcy bill and started going on about the dlc.

never mind that many of those people voted against it while others who are not in the dlc voted for it such as Byrd.

2. Facts are everything for thngs like this
Seriously, I don't like the DLC but people act like the DLC is so big and power, not a soul of our house and senate top leadership is in the DLC, more dems are non DLC than they are DLC. Yes, and the thing is Byrd really isnt close to being liberal, hes more conservative than the junior senator, Jay Rockefeller.

3. also, i don't think Steny Hoyer is a dlc member either
so while these fools go on about Hoyer they associate him with the dlc .

it's like the right wingers who need everything so simple. you have to support the iraq war or else you support saddam. you must love bush or else you hate your country. etc.

and these people need it to be simple also such as dlc is the one to blame for everything.

4. No he for sure isn't
I did a research on members of it and hes not. Before I left GD, I had been trying to make people realize that the blue dog democrats are more worse than the DLC since they're the ones who vote for the tax cuts, abortion restrictions, etc, its really not DLC members that do that as much.
