Complaint thread
Edited on Sun Feb-27-05 06:32 PM by GRLMGC
Complain about something bothering you. At the moment, I'm trying to write a paper about how Lolita is about a culture clash between Old world Europe and New world America. I'm writing a paragraph on how Lolita herself is representative of America but i can't find anyone to have my back

On edit: Someone got my back :) Carry on

1. We are going to get 5-10 inches of snow tomorrow
I LOVE snow, but I only worked two days last week, because of the snow. It looks like I might not be able to work Mon-Tues. I am a contract teacher, so we do not get paid for "snow days" :(

BTW, what happened to Kleeb?

4. We are going to get 6-12 inches on Monday night
School will probably get cancelled, but work might just go on. (Curses. Efficient snow removal is a blight upon us.)

And I agree; where is Kleeb. We miss him.

6. Where are Kleeb AND WEL?
I got Kleeb's e-mail on the 22nd; shows it was also sent to you (GRL, not TayTay... don't take it personally :)).

If I hear too many more complaints about snow, I'm going to go north and personally strangle those posting them. I haven't seen a snowflake at my home since 1997. So STFU. ;)

8. I said I LOVE snow
My complaint was directed at the lack of income directly related to my status as a contractor and my inability to work under the such delightful conditions.

As a native Californian, I can sympathise with those that are "snow challenged" :) But..if you come up north, I got something for ya...

15. I love snow too!
It is unbelievably beautiful when it first falls and sticks to everything. (Then it gets really ugly as it dirties up on the side of the road and into feet high piles that you can't see around.) I really love snow. I just wish that we had snow days. Then I could stay home with a mug of hot chocolate and watch my son clear it away. (Hey, getting a kid to clear snow paths for you is a prime reason for reproducing in the first place. Well, he doesn't think so, but I do.)

11. No offense taken, dearie
This group is getting quite large. Breakout groups are to be expected. (And are quite a healthy development, IMHO.) That such breakout groups should consist of people of similar age and similar circumstances is a natural development and not taken as an exclusionary one. (Hey, Whome and I are often engaged in one-on-one conversations. We should probably take them to e-mail as they are very specifically referenced to MA and to shared circumstance and background.)

I applaud this development. But I don't want to insert myself into yours, cuz I don't belong. (We found that out back when we had this LLL thread, ah, nevermind.)

10. TayTay, your post title...
WEL's going to leap on that as soon as she sees it. Just warning you. (Especially now that I've made the reference obvious to everyone. :P)

12. LOL! Here's a joke that a nun told me:
"Men are like snow. You don't how long they'll last and how many inches you'll get."

2. I can't find any information on this assignment my prof gave me
and it's pissing me off. I guess I'll just have to wing it like last time. It worked well enough, I got an A-, which would have been an A had it not been for a miscommunication on my prof's part which she refused to correct afterwards. *That* pissed me off even more. Although, the 2 hours I spent discussing it with her should guarantee me a high class participation grade, so that's worth it then.

3. Oh boy! Do I have one!
Here's mine:

My most "trusted vendor" held up my testing by almost 3 f***ing weeks because there was a $250 mistake on my PO. $250 lousy dollars on a $14K PO! Now this drug is going to be late going into the clinic and everyone will always remember that it was QC's (read my) fault.

Yeah, now that you mention it, where is Kleeb???

Someone at the First Unitarian Church is giving me the runaround on a church secretary job. It's just annoying.

18. Good Lord!
My roommate, her bf, and his friend came to our house and they slept over. So the friend decides to make himself at home (He previously broke our toilet by the way). So its 5am, he has the tv on full blast and he's snoring away (LOUD!). So my other roommate went downstairs and turned off the tv and told him to keep it down. So anyway, he continued snoring soooooo loudly. We couldn't sleep. The reason its such a problem is that our room is a loft and there is no fourth wall, just a curtain so we can hear everything downstairs. The nerve of that guy! He's a guest and he's being an ass (the tv, I guess the snoring he can't really help but it was still awful).
