Instant headache
If you can stand it, Ed O'Reilly was yukking it up with Howie Carr Tuesday.

Apologies if someone else posted this already - I've been really busy and not keeping up as well as I should.

What a nauseating weasel O'Reilly is. He's saying that JK wants to be Secretary of State and sucking up to Howie so hard you can practically hear the spittle.

1. He's selfish, too.
Hello, Ed? Teddy's sick. He's recovering beautifully, but what if things get worse and he has to step aside? That's one Senator down. Do you really think Kerry would choose the option of losing TWO Senators-- two longstanding and reliable progressives, at that-- for Mass at this time?

Lacks the ability to think strategically OR put himself in Kerry's or Kennedy's shoes. Nice.

2. Oh, I don't think I can go there. These are two of the most stomach turning people I have ever had
the displeasure of having heard of.

3. So, EOR can read people's mind? Or did he find that his arguments concerning Iraq
and single payer healthcare do not work? God, I hope PDA is very sorry about their endorsement and realize that anybody is able to copy their program, but that does not mean they support it.

4. PDA ought to be hanging their heads in shame
over this endorsement, if they have any conscience at all.

I don't use the word lightly, but EOR is a whore. Anyone who'll use Howie Carr as a platform to raise their own profile has no right to call himself a progressive. EOR has no spine, and he's got no conscience either, evidently.

:-)

9. He's posting on PUMA sites, too
so no surprise.

PDA should not only hang their heads in shame, they should apologize to progressives for being gullible enough to endorse that phony.

11. Amen to that
When I saw that PDA endorsed O'Reilly they lost a lot of credibility with me. A weasel is still a weasel even if he says what you want to hear.

12. Seems that time are hard for him, according to Elias
(Sorry, I could not bring myself to listen to those two).

http://chimesatmidnight.blogspot.com/2008/07/ed-we-hardly-knew-ye.html

Ed, We hardly knew ye....
Rumor has it the dog days of summer have not been kind of the senatorial candidacy of Gloucester's own Ed O'Reilly. Th' boyz in the back room maintain that money is tight and O'Reilly has thus been compelled to close campaign offices in Watertown and in Western Massachusetts.
His main campaign office is now located in the same space as his lawyer's practice...something that may not be permitted under Massachusetts law, but hey must needs when the devil rides and all like that.
Well this just goes to prove, that you can throw a tantrum long enough and loud enough to get on the primary ballot, brown-nose Howie Carr and even make yourself the pawn of angry Hillary Clinton supporters...but none of that will get you within twenty percentage points of John Kerry.
