In GD I posted a thread about Bush using Dems words out of context as a favorite campaign tactic to make it appear they agree with him.

I think is exactly what a poster is doing. He usually targets Kerry but today it is Kent Conrad.

I think the only purpose is to divide the Dems and cause some on the left to attack our own Dem lawmakers viciously in emails and phone calls to their office. It will turn off any Dem to part of his base if he thinks they are that obnoxious as some can be.

Please respond to the post so more people catch the warning in it. Thanks.

Its just they make me lose my temper so easily and get so frustrated. I'll do you a favor though, I'll do my best to see that people help. Conrad is our Ranking Member on Transporation, isn't he? I liked what he had to say in F-911. Does a great job despite being from a neon red state, I respect him and Dorgan much.

13. Conrad was the Senator that found the evil provision

in the Omnibus tax bill that would have let 2 Senate chairmen obtain ANY specified person's income tax info without specifying a reason. Once he found it, everyone disowned it and it was taken out. The senators were given the huge bill with insufficient time to read it. This alone should give him some credit

Larisa told us that disinformation is deliberately planted on DU and DKos in order to get dissention in the ranks and have Dems fighting each other. This sounds like one of those moments.

15. Finding the tax thing was good

I was passing on the only thing I knew about Conrad. When they were discussing the Omnibus bill in the Senate before voting on it, he found this provision hidden in the voluminous bill and brought it up which led to many Senators condemning the (then unknown) Republican who put it in and demanded its removal. (It was removed)

I added it only because it could be used to give an example of a time when Conrad was a very good guy. This was thing I knew about him. I saw this by chance because when I turned on the TV it was on C-Span and they were having a very spirited discussion, so we kept it on.

Alot of the DU folks aren't bad or even dumb, they just happen to trust alot of posts from the more deceptive operatives who have latched on to the all the trigger-points of the left.
