2. Oh, that was so sweet

Sen. Kerry was speaking about a woman who has been a senior staff member on the SFRC for the 22 years he has been there. Kerry spoke warmly and emotionally about all the things this person, Nancy Stasser (I think) has done. (Nance (Not sure of last name) is leaving to take a job in Mass and the good Sen was talking in tribute to all she has done over the years. This was quite personal and quite sweet. Sometimes we get so caught up in thinking of the Senate as a new story that you forget it's also a place where real people work and have put in torturous hours for causes they believe in. This was a glimpse of one such person. Really, it was very touching.)

It was really a great speech. He was a little broken up at the end, there was that little hitch at the end. What a great thing to do.
