2. What Is The Deal?

I heard Scarborough make a remark about something to do with Teresa dropping her husbands name but I didn't catch it all so I have been wondering what in the hell he was talking about. I haven't heard another word about after he said last night so I never thought no more about it. Do you know what the hell they are talking about exactly? I'm feel dumb here because I truly don't know what the hell they are talking about or where this crap came from.

4. She's always been Teresa Heinz

I remember back in the early primaries it was weird to start adding the Kerry because we had all accepted her as Teresa Heinz. Just Teresa mostly. Such a no big deal thing. Then she added Kerry for the campaign. Again, no big deal, whatever. I guess she is just using Heinz again, although I can remember a couple times during the campaign she just signed Heinz and they tried to make an issue of it.

It's well known that the woman adored John Heinz. That ought to be a good thing, a family values thing. But oh no, not in nutso right wing world. And our own people slam him with it. And write shit about Teresa. They're tools and they either can't see it or don't care.

8. The way I see it is "who the hell cares "

What damn difference does it make as long as her and John are fine with it is nobody's damn business but theirs. And like you said it is well known that the woman truly adored and loved her first husband and will always have a lot to say about him. And she does have three sons by the man. What the hell do people expect her to do forget all that as if he never existed :crazy: Give it a damn rest already hell people don't just forget about someone they were that close to.

Now we are going to start judging people over something as petty as this that is nobody's damn business to start with I mean this really has a lot to do with the problems this country is facing :eyes: this really has a lot to do with fighting for America and winning back what * and his cronies have taken away and destroyed. :mad:

It is very clear to anyone who knows John and Teresa that they have a relationship that most only dream about. They are very happy together and love each other very much. And what is also clear for anyone that knows anything about Kerry at all is that although he loved his first wife very much and had two very smart and beautiful daughters with her he has never been happier in his life than he has been since he has been with Teresa. Teresa is the love of John's life and it shows in his actions and the way he speaks of her. When John is with Teresa he is a very happy man that shines. This is what a relationship and marriage is all about it has nothing to do with the damn name.

10. I dig the fact it was Teresa Heinz

because that is sort of the liberated woman thing, like HoHo's wife wanted to be called Dr. Judy Steinberg and/or Steinberg Dean. At first I thought it was her maiden name before I knew about Sen. Heinz and all. Sen. Heinz was a half decent Republican guy. I would understand why she would keep that name after he died in that terrible way, as a memorial to him.
Learning about her whole backstory really endeared me to her. I wish I'd've stayed up to see her DNC speech. I did read the text and at least heard that soundbite about her being opinionated, which ruled. She's her own woman an that makes some of these RW nuts fear her. Just think about Hillary and what they still say about her being a dyke. I think if Teresa had her hair any shorter and did not have that femmy accent, same people would be calling her a dyke too. If your a woman and have your own thoughts about things, you're a dyke if married or not...damn homophobes.

Who the fuck cares? I know there are people who are hung up on names, which is the most idiotic thing ever, but come on! Anyway, attacks on her especially piss me off, for some reason. I think its because its really unfair that a seemingly generous and caring person is being maligned for no good reason. When she told that guy to shove it, he deserved it. I've seen her giving talks and she's not that entertaining (in an unpredictable, negative kind of way). She's very intelligent and opiniated. People need to get the fuck over that!

They went after Hillary Rodham Clinton and Raisa Gorbachev, for example. If you have an opinion and don't just smile wanly for the cameras (while looking adoringly at your spouse), you're in their sights and they're stocking up on ammunition.

With Teresa, it doesn't help that she has inherited wealth and that she has power through her philanthropy. She's an older woman and has strong opinions and doesn't want to be put in a cage, so they're after her. If she were an air-headed, tarted-up twenty-something heiress, they would expect us to be all fascinated with her.

Who cares what name she uses? Using the same name as your kids is natural and customary--she wouldn't have wanted to drop it after John Heinz died. It means nothing as far as her current marriage goes.
