Boston weather update
Julie and I are in Boston since an hour and it's freezing cold and was snowing earlier! First of all we will go out and buy boots, scarfs and gloves. We saw the weather forecast in the hotel lobby and they announced more snow for the weekend. Well, it will really be an experience. LOL

IB, beachmom and FedUp, we will see you tomorrow morning, I guess? If you room isn't ready and you will store your luggage in our room, we're in 1266.

OK, off to Macy's now.

1. Darn - last report I saw last night was low 40s and clear.
Guess this girl will be staying in most of the time. Anyone bringing Scrabble? ;)

2. The weather should be better starting tomorrow.
Sunday should be in the 50s.

4. All the local channels said very cold today
But a warmup starts tomorrow.

This is not uncommon for the winter here. (The Atlantic Ocean giveth and it taketh away.)

It will be cold, plan on it. Once it gets dark, and that means 4:30 pm, it gets cold. Plan accordingly and bring coats and dress in layers.

6. It is already so much better than last year, in terms of the weather
Last year, about this time on Friday, I was busy having a heart attack and an aneurysm because people were flying into Boston through a major winter storm. Every single flight was re-routed or delayed or otherwise impacted. Whome wound up at the airport at 2:30 in the morning to do a pickup.

Believe me, this year is a piece of cake compared to last. (I think I will survive this year. When the surprise snowstorm hit last year, OMG, I almost had a complete and irreversible freakout.)

8. I remember reading about the flights in and the horrific weather.
I am hoping for cold, but snow less weather- at least while everyone has to fly in.

7. Thanks, Europegirl! I'll take note of the room number.
Hey, maybe I should even get a little practice with my very bad German. Looking forward to meeting you and your daughter.

10. Whatever the predictions--- make sure
you bring a good coat/jacket, sweater, gloves and whatever else to prepare for cold. Even if it warms up there are a lot of windy areas in Boston--especially near Fanuiel Hall. It can be 40 and feel like 10.

12. You're so right about the wind!
We left the hotel and the wind almost killed us. It felt like we weren't wearing anything at all. Well, you and Tay are right about the warm clothes but those are difficult to find in the south of France. But we got what we needed at Macy's and are better equipped now.
