Is anyone watching Harry's Law?

1. I've watched the first two episodes

I want to like it more but I think it is lacking something. I agree that it won't last. The trials aren't believable. They seem to veer off into, like you said, liberal talking points too much.

However, there doesn't seem to be a lot of real law in this law show, but I do like Kathy Bates.

I'm going to keep watching for Kathy Bates, but yeah, it's really lame and cliched. She deserves a much better show.

And it's ranked 11 this week. It's not Law and Order. It's not about the trials or the law. It's about the people, the characters. It reminds me of Bones.

As far as it being too liberal... well I watched an alien get tortured on V last week. I'd much rather watch Kathy Bates rail against the government.

6. I am, and much like the other shows from David E. Kelley it's very liberal in it's stand

has an insane mix of quirky characters and even more insane courtroom actions. Just did some checking, found out that Kelley actually was a lawyer in Boston before going Hollywood.

I watch it every week. and I do hope it will last.

The last show, with the gang negotiation, was much more serious.

8. It's the ONLY sit-com I watch, (non PBS). Like the characters. Not too intense.

9. I like the show. I simply worry about its future.

I tried to see if it was being renewed. It is likely, but not certain.

The latest plot twists with Paul McCrane's character were interesting. He ends up in jail for contempt, after removing his clothing in court. Harry talks to him about how he could have won some of the recent cases against her clients if he had been willing to plea bargain. That injected a note of reality into some of the recent events of the show.

I like the way so many of Harry's lawyer friends are square pegs. The character Harry sees the humanity in all types of people. I wish I knew more people like that in real life.

10. Office romances have to be de-emphasized

I liked the legal cases, heavy handed as they were. I got tired of the insipid office romances pretty quickly, however. I pretty much found other things to do when the show started going on at length about Adam's love life. Couldn't care less.
