1. I can't believe
she gave props to the Brothers Hildebrandt. Can't stand their stuff, it's just mediocre as it can get. Bad, even.

For fun steampunk, check out the webcomic Girl Genius by Phil and Kaja Foglio. Very nice.

2. She only namechecks Michael Whelan at the end?
In my opinion, he's the epitome of SF/Fantasy art. I first noted him with his covers for the Dragonriders of Pern series, and to this day, every other attempt to depict those creatures by different artists completely fails to capture them for me.
