Anyone familiar with the ST postquel, "Star Trek: Phoenix"?
Is "postquel" even a word?

I saw a special screening about the series at Norwescon two weeks ago. It is a semi-authorized (meaning Paramount won't be immediately suing them for copyright infringement) "fanchise" -- a series written by, cast by, filmed by and produced by fans.

It is set 42 years after Voyager returned home and centers on the crew of the USS Phoenix, a new class of Federation star ship. The vignettes shown at the screening were pretty good, and the cast shows promise. If you are a Star Trek fan and would like to show your support (they are looking for production staff and other volunteers, donations of gift cards for purchase of props, even scripts; see the FAQ), please help keep the dream alive.
