2. Yep, thereabouts.
Of course he was only 29 when he took the role - younger than Tennant was when he assumed it.

I'm glad the current writers & producers are willing to indulge in a bit of fanwank. Should be interesting to see what they do!

3. Correct. Age 29 in 1981... His tenure lasted from 1982 to 1984...
(His 1981 appearance was the regeneration scene in "Logopolis".)

RTD has done fanwank before (the series 2 appalling finale "Doomsday"), so I'm not sure how he'll pull it off.

Mind you, series 3 is a treasure to behold, so anything's possible...

Besides, I'm a sucker for multi-Doctor stories. They never get along with each other...

4. The first Doctor I saw on TV was Tennant. My, has he aged!
Our PBS affiliate showed Tennant's Doctor Who, then they started showing the Tom Baker episodes. I was confused!

The first Doctor Who I saw was the film with Peter Cushing as the good doctor fighting the Daleks.

5. I love the multi-doctor bickering
such as William Hartnell in the 3 Doctors
"Is this what I've been replaced with, a dandy and a clown?"

But I suppose when you have a character with that big of an ego, he could never get along with himself.
