Karel on fire on KGO tonight - incensed over extensive pope coverage
He's disgusted over the coverage of the pope's death when events in Iraq are so terrible. He's got his temper up and I'm enjoying this tonight. Here's the page to access streaming audio http://www.kgoam810.com/listenlive.asp#

1. Follow up to last night's heated broadcast
Edited on Sun Apr-03-05 03:07 PM by eleny
Last night, Karel took a lot of heat over his broadcast. He got many angry calls and his screener took a lot of insults and cussing from "Christian" callers. I don't know if he was reading his emails but he also commented that he was sure his emails would also be filled with venom over his position on the over the top coverage of the pope's death. And how people were considering JP2 to be a saint.

Karel feels that the church never accepted him as a gay man. So, he feels no compulsion to have uber-respect for the pope as exemplified in the MSM coverage. He was very concerned that hardly any attention was being paid to those who were wounded and died yesterday in Iraq.

I sent him an email of support and plan on tuning in to his Sunday night show that airs same as last night - 7 to 10 P.M. Pacific Time.

The archives of KGO programming are available for 24 hours after any program here http://www.kgoam810.com/listingsEntry.asp?ID=263588&PT=Archives

He could sure use your support these days as he seems to be on the side of people like myself who are getting "poped out" by now. And he's just so passionate about how he feels. At this point he's hoping he isn't taken off the air.
