I *highly* doubt Mary Worship, due to the lack of people worshipping Obama as Jesus.

My first guess is statistical noise and my second guess is social factors.

There does seem to be a similarity between the zealotry of the devoutly religious and some people's devout support of their candidate.

I guess if I had that kind of zeal, I wouldn't be on my third candidate by now. :)
