Looking for a Pagan wedding minister in the SF Bay Area
My fiancee and I are looking recommendations for a Pagan or Pagan-friendly minister who will help us call the quarters and get married with a lot of love and a minimum of tradition-specific "witchy-woo" that'll just aggravate our out-of-state relatives.

Our wedding will take place March 2009 in Berkeley.

Any suggestions from the DU Pagan community would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. If you are still looking
Look up 'Ancient Ways' in Oakland. They host an annual Pagan/multitheist conference in San Jose called Pantheacon. They have a huge resource list that probably includes any kind of Pagan clergy imaginable.

If you haven't already checked out Pantheacon, please do. It's usually held in February and if you've never been in a hotel full of fellow weirdos raising hell...well you just gotta try it. Good Luck!

2. Great suggestion, thanks.
I've only been to Pantheacon twice, but a close friend is on the staff. I'll start there.

3. No Problem!
:)

I miss Pantheacon, we moved to WA and just can't rationalize the trip economically anymore. Glad to hear you've been! Good luck with your wedding, blessed be!

4. Ancient Ways
Actually, the owner of Ancient Ways, Glenn Turner (a "she" in spite of the name) officiated at the handfasting of close friends of mine. I don't know if she does that regularly or not--the groom has been a friend of Glenn's and a staff person at the Ancient Ways festival and Pantheacon forever. Even if she doesn't do weddings and handfastings regularly, I'm sure they can provide some referrals.

5. Another great suggestion!
Thanks much for that lead. I've spoken with a few of my Pantheacon contacts, but they've been Slacker Pagans ;) and haven't produced any specific names yet. A close friend of mine knows Glenn, so that might be a better route to get a specific recommendation.

Thanks again! :hi:

6. If you are still looking I know of two possibilities in the Bay Area
Please PM me and I can give you contact info. I have one person's info right at hand, the other I person's contact info I can get with just a little effort if you still need it.
